The best part of the NCAA Tournament is the upsets unless, of course, it’s your team that’s getting upset.

LSU fans may want to steer clear of this article then because the way John Rothstein of CBS Sports sees it, the Tigers will be leaving the NCAA Tournament just as fast as they left the SEC Tournament last week.

During a recent appearance on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast, Rothstein was asked to share his biggest upset for the coming tournament.

“This is the upset that I’m going to pick, I think you have to roll the dice somewhere,” Rothstein said on the show. “LSU, you guys know Will Wade isn’t coaching, suspended indefinitely, heck of a coach, he is not going to be with his team. Since LSU has not had Will Wade, they have beat a Vanderbilt team that didn’t win a game in the SEC and lost to Florida. Yale has an NBA prospect in Miye Oni, which you generally don’t see on an Ivy league team. Their top four scorers are juniors and seniors, I just think that one of the things that isn’t going to be talked about — everyone is talking about Duke if they don’t have Zion, LSU doesn’t have its coach. I’m going to take Yale to beat LSU.”

That would definitely be a tough way for LSU’s great season to come to an end but considering all the drama surrounding the program at the moment, it’s not unfathomable to see the Tigers exiting the tournament quickly.

LSU opens NCAA Tournament play Thursday, March 21 against Yale in Jacksonville. The game is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. ET on truTV.
