LSU preferred walk-on punter Bailey Raborn was arrested Sunday in Lafayette for operating a vehicle while impaired, the The Advocate Monday. Raborn was released on a $1,000 bond and the affidavit for his arrest has not yet been made available.

LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette said Monday that head coach Les Miles is “aware of the situation and is trying to gather information before making any comment.”

Raborn’s arrest falls within a week of backup punter Tren Domingue’s decision to leave the program because his scholarship was not renewed. Domingue was listed second on LSU’s depth chart behind redshirt freshman Josh Growden, who is expected to replace Jamie Keehn as the team’s starter.

Raborn ranked as the third-best punter for the 2016 national signing class and committed to LSU in December, rather than taking a scholarship from other schools, including Mississippi State and UCLA.
