Apparently, the Miami Dolphins are enamored with Joe Burrow.

There’s no chance the Dolphins land the reigning Heisman Trophy winner with the No. 5 overall pick but the team may have come up with a plan to come up with enough ammunition to land the quarterback from LSU with the No. 1 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Dolphins currently own the No. 5, No. 18 and No. 26 overall selections in the 2020 NFL Draft. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Dolphins are trying to acquire Detroit’s No. 3 overall pick — without giving up the No. 5 overall selection.

If Miami can somehow pull this off, coming away with the No. 3 and No. 5 overall picks, they would then approach Cincinnati regarding the potential of trading both picks for the No. 1 selection — presumably to select Joe Burrow.

The question Miami has to ask itself at this point, is it worth trading away all these assets to come away with Joe Burrow, or should the team be built around a quarterback that could be selected down the line?
