LSU’s Justin Jefferson is one of the best wide receivers in the country, and the NFL already has its eyes on him.

He leads LSU in catches (62) and yards (898) and has nine touchdowns. Jefferson has six games where he’s made at least seven catches, including against Texas when he had nine and Florida, when he had 11. He had seven each against Auburn and Alabama.

The 6-foot-3 and 192 junior is the third of the Jefferson brothers to play football at LSU, joining older brothers Jordan and Rickey as Tigers. All three Jefferson brothers started during their career.

Daniel Jeremiah, a former NFL scout and current analyst with the NFL Network, and ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit each noted Jefferson’s talent. Herbstreit said Jefferson’s competitive spirit is what drives him and sets him apart as a great wide receiver. Jeremiah likes Jefferson all over the field, and his yards after catch production.

This is one of the strongest wide receiver classes to enter the NFL in recent memory, and it’s likely led by Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb. But like other LSU players, look for Jefferson’s stock to rise as the NFL Draft draws closer.
