Ed Orgeron isn’t shying away from making drastic changes as LSU’s interim coach.

According to a report by The Advocate, Orgeron has invited former players to attend practice and accompany the team for its traditional walk down Victory Hill before games. It’s just one of many sweeping changes the coach is instituting in the wake of Les Miles’ firing on Sunday, like opening portions of practice to the media and shortening practice to keep players fresh.

The Advocate obtained an email from Kristen H. Cain, who runs LSU’s special events and community relations, that was sent to former players.

“After speaking with him briefly yesterday morning, his vision is to empower our former Tigers to feel welcomed back on campus,” Cain wrote in the email. “Coach O would like to open practice to the former players for the rest of this season and would also like to make it available for our former players to lead the team down Victory Hill on game day. This will create the excitement that we all know follows the purple and gold and to continue the trend that we are all ‘Tigers for Life.’”
