Most wanted NFL free agent? Arizona releases DB Tyrann Mathieu
The NFL offseason is starting to heat up but we may have not even begun to see the bidding begin.
Arizona has informed Tyrann Mathieu that he will be released. News of the Cardinals’ decision was first reported by Jay Glazer of FOX Sports. The former LSU great is coming off his first NFL season of playing the full 16 game slate — he started for Arizona in each of the games.
In his five-year career in Arizona, Mathieu has 281 tackles and 11 interceptions in 57 appearances. He is set to hit the free agent market at a very young age (25), as he entered the league at age 20.
