Every pre-draft season, several players get flagged for concerns regarding their off-the-field “issues” by NFL teams and draft analysts. One of the more curious players to be tagged as a potential concern this draft season is Derrius Guice.

If you have missed some of what has been said about Guice, some of the concerns were recently addressed by Tom Pelissero of NFL.com. During his recent appearance on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take podcast, Mike Mayock was asked directly what were the issues surrounding Guice. He basically gave a non-answer, stating Guice had issues showing up for things. He finalized that thought with, “I’ll leave it at that.”

It should be noted that this is the time of year where smokescreens by NFL teams and false information is leaked out on every subject — Cleveland’s “interest” in Baker Mayfield at No. 1 overall following months of discussion suggesting otherwise is a good example. So it’s quite possible all this “information” on Guice is simply misinformation.

That’s something Guice seems to believe based on the video below. His invitation to the draft suggests there’s an outstanding chance he is selected fairly early in the draft.

Guice will be in attendance for the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft from Arlington and has already arrived to partake in the pre-draft festivities. Following his appearance, Guice was interviewed by Ross Dellenger of The Advocate and expressed his frustration with where the criticism of his behavior is coming from.

Dellenger posted a clip of the interview to Twitter:
