The first time LSU grabbed momentum against Georgia was when the Bulldogs tried to pull off a fake field goal early in the game.

Rodrigo Blankenship initially lined up a kick from the LSU 14-yard line, but he tried to run for the LSU goal line until he was stopped, and LSU LB Devin White recovered the fumble.

White told reporters after the game that he knew the fake was a possibility because Kirby Smart believes in his players, something White learned in high school.

“Once I seen that end come up,” White said, “I thought he was about to go out for a pass, so if he did, that was my man. So I was holding on to him, then I saw Greedy (Williams) making the tackle, and I seen the ball come out, and jumped on it, and tried to get up and run, but they was taking me down.”

“You can’t fake nothing on us, I feel like we be dialed in.”

White led a defense that picked up four turnovers from Georgia, and held the Bulldogs to 5-for-14 on third down.
