When a ball gets tipped, it’s up for grabs. LSU S Ed Paris decided one tipped ball belonged to him.

Louisiana Tech QB J’Mar Smith was looking for WR Rhashid Bonnette on a pass, but Bonnette failed to make the catch and the ball popped up for grabs. As white and purple jerseys (the Tigers are sporting purple tonight) converged around the ball, it appeared to be tipped again. After the second tip, Paris got his hands on it and held on for the interception.

After only scoring seven points in the first quarter, the Tigers notched 17 in the second quarter to take a 24-7 lead into the locker room. The game became a sellout as LSU fans bought up the remaining tickets after the Bayou Bengals’ thrilling Week 3 win at Auburn.
