What Ed Orgeron said following epic 7OT loss at Texas A&M
Saturday night’s game between rivals LSU and Texas A&M in College Station was one for the ages, as the Aggies pulled off a dramatic 74-72 overtime victory.
However, many believe the game shouldn’t have even progressed beyond regulation, as there were a number of questionable calls made by officials in the final seconds.
The biggest one, though, seems to be when A&M was able to spike the ball with three seconds left, despite there being a rule that you can’t get a spike off in under three seconds. What’s done is done, though, and both teams must move on and start preparing for bowl games.
After the game, LSU coach Ed Orgeron said he was devastated for his team to have to lose like that, making it clear he didn’t think one second should have been put back on the clock:
Orgeron: "I just bad for those young men. That second shouldn't have been put on the clock, and I'm sticking to that." #LSU

Orgeron: "These guys should have won 10 games. That second shouldn't have been put on the clock." #LSU

LSU could have had a 10-win regular season and a chance at a New Year’s Six bowl game, but now we’ll have to see where the Tigers end up this postseason. They’ll still have a chance to finish 10-3 though.
