Pop-Tarts Bowl 2024 action has been one of the most exciting bowl games of the year so far. Featuring the Iowa State Cyclones and Miami Hurricanes, the game saw a scoring outburst in the 1st half with 59 total points between the teams. For reference, last year’s version of the bowl featured just 47 points.

Even before the game got started, this bowl in particular caused a ton of social media chatter. The marketing by the Pop-Tarts team has been incredible, and the mascots always have something in store for this game. However, the insane amount of scoring and wild plays is what has social media ablaze about this game.

Let’s take a look at some of the best reactions from a wild 1st half in Orlando.

In the 1st half, the Canes gained 358 total yards of offense while the Cyclones gained 267. Cam Ward has thrown for 190 yards with 3 TDs while Rocco Becht has 180 yards and 2 TDs. Damien Martinez is having a huge day for the Canes, with 1 TD and 132 rushing yards at the half. The Canes have 2 turnovers, which are the only times the Canes have had drives that didn’t end in points.

Meanwhile, the Cyclones haven’t had any turnovers and have only punted once. If the 2nd half is anything like the 1st, we’ll be looking at some must-watch TV.

The Canes will begin the 2nd half with a 31-28 lead over the Cyclones.
