Dan Mullen asked if he plans on being the coach at Mississippi State next year
Did Dan Mullen just coach his last game at Mississippi State?
That’s the question everyone is asking right now (and really every year at this time for that matter).
Mullen is rumored to be Tennessee’s No. 1 target, and things could get interesting in the coming days for the head coach. Following the 31-28 loss to Ole Miss in Thursday night’s Egg Bowl, Mullen was asked about his future during the post-game press conference.
Of course, Mullen isn’t going to come right out and say anything other than what he said.
Asked if he'll be the coach of MSU next year, Mullen says, "I plan on it. As I said, I'm very, very happy here."

Mullen says he plans on being the coach next year. "I'm happy with our administration. The program we've built is pretty special. I'm fortunate to be the coach."

Mullen has made the MSU job very attractive, along with making himself a strong candidate for a program like Tennessee. By all accounts, Mullen is very happy at MSU and has great job security. But after nine years at Mississippi State, everyone is wondering whether this is the year he could make a move.
