Mike Leach believes Will Rogers is deserving of Heisman Trophy consideration, and with the numbers the Mississippi State quarterback is putting up, Leach said it’s easy to put Rogers in contention.

“I don’t think there’s any question whatsoever,” Leach told reporters after the win over Arkansas. “I’m extremely curious who somebody thinks is ahead of him. (Somebody) just selects the biggest team they can think of and some of them will just randomly stick a guy on a list.”

Rogers was 31-for-48 passing for 395 yards and 3 touchdowns in the 40-17 win.

Rogers is now the all-time leader in completions in the history of the SEC, as he passed Georgia’s Aaron Murray, whose record stood since 2013. Rogers passed Murray with 922 career completions.
