The Mississippi State Bulldogs hired coach Mike Leach away from Washington State this past offseason.

Now that Leach is in Starkville, he’ll have some motivation to stay around for the rest of the decade (we’ll see if that actually happens or not).

As you can see below, Mississippi State announced a future home-and-home series with the Cougars, with games in 2030 and 2031, via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon:

“We’re thrilled to add another home-and-home series against a quality opponent and institution like Washington State to our future schedules,” MSU Director of Athletics John Cohen said. “These will be the first-ever meetings between the two programs and should be an exciting opportunity and experience for our student-athletes and fans.”

The game in 2030 will take place in Starkville, with the return trip to Pullman coming in 2031. It will be the first 2 meetings between the 2 schools.
