Last Sunday, Scott Lashley’s transfer from Alabama to Mississippi State made the headlines. On Friday, it became official as Lashley’s enrollment at MSU was announced by both the team and the player.

“We are excited to welcome Scott to Mississippi State,” Bulldogs coach Mike Leach said in a statement released by the team. “A West Point native, Scott understands what Bulldog football is all about. He brings experience to our offensive line, and we look forward to him coming in and competing right away.”

Lashley spent four seasons at Alabama (2016-19) and recently graduated from UA, which will give him immediate eligibility for the 2020 season. The 6-foot-7, 307-pound tackle saw action in 19 career games. In 2019, he served as Alabama’s backup right tackle, logging 58 snaps and playing in eight games. Lashley also played in eight games in 2018 and three games in 2017. He will be a redshirt senior this season.

Lashley was rated as the nation’s No. 20 offensive tackle prospect and No. 201 overall on the 247Sports Composite for the class of 2016.
