Mike Leach paid a visit to “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Friday ahead of the Mississippi State game with Arkansas, and briefly put off a question about comparing his quarterbacks.

Leach instead wanted to look at his hairline in a nearby television monitor, and ignored Finebaum’s question.

As Finebaum asked Leach about his offensive background with quarterbacks, Leach turned to the monitor, and said, “Look at that. They’ve got a camera right there, see.”

Finebaum replied, “Are you pleased with how you look?”

Leach: “I don’t really pay much attention, but I have this thing right here. You have this thing where you kind of have front view, back view, side view, you know it’s like you act like it’s Fort Knox up here. So anyway, I just, all right, go ahead.”

Finebaum finally got to the quarterback comparison question.

“That’s pretty tough and also wouldn’t be in my best interest for the quarterbacks to do that, and the best one’s always the one you currently have,” he said. “I think they’re similar in a lot of ways in that every one of them had to be good film guys as far as watching film. A pretty good guy as far as getting a lot done when no one else is around. Also a guy who would generate a good level of work with the team and the receivers around him in the offseason when we’re not allowed to be out there coaching. They’re all tireless workers otherwise I’d move them somewhere else.”
