Saturday was just not Mississippi State’s day.
The Bulldogs lost to arch-rival Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl, blowing their chance at a berth in the College Football Playoff this winter.
And then, in a bizarre twist, the team bus crashed on its journey from Oxford back to Starkville, delaying the team’s somber return home even further.

According to assistant athletic director Bill Martin no one on the bus was harmed.
However, photos of the bus surfaced overnight following the crash. Take a look:

By the look of the bus, it’s fortunate no one on board was hurt in the crash. Mississippi State did eventually make it safely to Starkville, per Martin’s Twitter feed.
Got a new bus and we are now on the way back to Starkville with the other buses. Everyone ok.
