Mississippi State is waiting on its bowl destination, and AD John Cohen gave a brief overview of the possible destinations for the Bulldogs following their narrow win in the Egg Bowl.

Cohen said it could be a host of cities, including Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, or even Memphis.

“Our kids, with what they did down the stretch in our season deserve this opportunity, our staff deserves this opportunity,” Cohen said on The Matt Wyatt Show. “We’re going to our 10th straight bowl, and wherever it is, this is not going to be a vacation.”

That’s a sentiment that Cohen said coach Joe Moorhead mentioned before Cohen even brought it up.

“We’re going to this bowl, to get better and to win a bowl game,” Cohen said. “We’re not longer at the stage where it’s the vacation, and we mix in some football. This is a work trip. It’s a business trip. And every one of our football players knows it, and every one of our football staff knows it. I expect the same kind of effort out of our football program in this bowl game as we got in preparation for the Egg Bowl.”

The Bulldogs finished off the regular season 6-6 and Moorhead likely needs a bowl win to give him and the program a boost of momentum entering the offseason as he came under fire for a stretch where MSU lost 5 of 6 games in the middle of the season.
