Mississippi State is down a senior defensive back, Dan Mullen confirmed to The Clarion Ledger Thursday.

Jamoral Graham has left the team, and he released a classy Instagram post thanking the university and the coaching staff. He recorded 28 tackles and three INTs, with one of those being a pick-six during the 2016 season.

Losing a defensive back in spring practice should be okay roster-wise by the fall, but losing a veteran like Graham isn’t the greatest for depth purposes.

Graham originally came to MSU as a wide receiver, but he converted to cornerback in the spring of 2015. He was rated as a four-star prospect and the sixth best player in the state of Mississippi during the class of 2014, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
