Trenton Yowe has become the first 2020 prospect to commit to Joe Moorhead’s Mississippi State program as the Alabama native publicly announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Friday.

Mississippi State is hosting its first Top Dawg Weekend of the Moorhead era and it’s clearly going well with the prospects on hand participating as Yowe looks to be the first of what could be a few weekend commitments for MSU. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Yowe currently ranks as a three-star prospect and the No. 19 safety recruit in the nation for the 2020 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

In recent weeks, Yowe has visited Alabama and Tennessee but its the trip to Starkville that’s won him over. He announced his decision with the following message on Twitter:
