Mississippi State is gearing up for the 2022 season, but as the May 1 transfer portal deadline approaches, some players are still making decisions on their futures.

On Thursday, the Bulldogs lost a key specialist to the portal, as he announced he’ll explore his options.

As you can see below, Mississippi State long snapper Colby Cox has decided to enter the portal and has 3 years of eligibility remaining:

Cox appeared in all 13 games for the Bulldogs in 2021 — the first action he saw in his Mississippi State career.

Cox was the No. 9 long snapper in his class. Where he ends up playing in 2022 and beyond remains to be seen.
