The Washington Football Team will reportedly be without one of their pass rushers for the game against the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Montez Sweat, the former Mississippi State Bulldog, suffered a non-displaced jaw fracture after the loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 8. Sweat had 11 solo tackles, 4 sacks and 2 forced fumbles before the injury.

Ian Rapoport broke the news about the injury via Twitter on Wednesday.

Sweat will have no physical contact for a month while his jaw heals. It’ll be interesting to see what this means for Washington’s defense in the future.

Sweat first started his career at Michigan State from 2014 to 2015, then he finished his collegiate career at Mississippi State in 2017 and 2018 after transferring. He had 23.5 sacks in his college career.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-2) and Washington Football Team (2-6) meet at FedEx Field Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
