In 2009 and 2010, former Louisiana-Lafayette coach Mark Hudspeth coached Mississippi State’s wide receivers as part of Dan Mullen’s staff.

Now, he’s making a return to Starkville under new head coach Joe Moorhead after being fired by ULL.

According to FootballScoop.com, Hudspeth will return to the Bulldogs as the tight ends coach on Moorhead’s staff:

Sources tell FootballScoop Joe Moorhead plans to hire former Louisiana Lafayette head coach Mark Hudspeth as tight ends coach. Hudspeth previously served as head coach at both North Alabama and Louisiana Lafayette for seven seasons. Between those head coaching positions, Hudspeth spent two seasons coaching receivers at Mississippi State 2009-10.

The Bulldogs’ coaching staff is really coming together now, with several key hires being made by Moorhead.

Moorhead already added former Tennessee DC Bob Shoop to his staff on Friday and now has an experienced former head coach joining him on the offensive side of the ball, too.
