Joe Moorhead rung the bell for another Mississippi State commitment Wednesday night.

Jackson, Mississippi, native Deion Smith became the Bulldogs first class of 2021 commitment. The 6-foot-2, 172-pound receiver and defensive back attends Provine High School.

Smith had received offers from Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss, among others, but he ultimately committed to Moorhead and MSU Wednesday night.

Currently, Smith isn’t rated by 247Sports or Rivals, but he’ll soon be. The rising junior will get noticed much more in the coming months.

“First of all I would like to thank God, my family and all the people that believed in me,” Jackson wrote on social media. “It (sic) been a difficult process for me. I want to personal (sic) thank my coach Shay Hodge for giving me all the tools that I know. It was a hard decision. I thought about it for a while now with me saying that I would like to say that I am committed to Mississippi State University.”
