WATCH: First blown call of Saturday? Officials reversed fumble call on this Leo Lewis hit
This looked like a fumble in real-time, and even after the replay, it appeared it was a fumble.
In the first quarter of Saturday’s game against Kansas State, Mississippi State LB Leo Lewis came around the edge and rocked the Wildcats’ QB. The ball went flying, and MSU recovered the fumble. However, after the review, the officials overturned the call and said it was an incomplete pass because his arm was moving forward.

As evidenced by the replay, the QB’s arm appeared to only moved forward because Lewis destroyed him, not because it was already moving forward. With the call being a fumble on the field, we’re not sure how it was overturned.
Kansas State went on to kick a field goal to tie the game 3-3.
