With the 2016 campaign quickly approaching, the Missouri Tigers are looking to bolster their roster by adding a late component. According to Stl.com, Darvis Holmes, a lineman out of Hinesville, Ga., is planning to sign with Missouri on Sunday night. Holmes made a visit to the campus this past weekend and decided it was a perfect fit for him.

Holmes recently graduated from Long County High School, where he was a three-year starter. He was a two-way player while in high school, but with Missouri in need of strengthening its offensive line, he will most likely find a home in the offensive huddle.

Holmes, who is currently listed at 6-6 and 330 pounds, had most of his serious recruiting inquiries lose interest due to eligibility concerns.

“Missouri is my biggest offer,” he told Stl.com. “Every other school cut me off because they heard I wasn’t eligible. Missouri’s the only one that came through. Georgia didn’t want to wait for me. They were already filled up with scholarships and said I could walk on, but I don’t want to walk on and have to pay (for tuition).”
