What Barry Odom said after Mizzou's loss to Kentucky
It’s been a long tough year for Mizzou already.
The Tigers lost a close one to Kentucky Saturday night 40-34, and this one will sting for a while for sure.
Missouri drops to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the SEC, and it’s worth wondering when the Tigers will win again.
Barry Odom met with reporters after the game:
- What a great environment to play in.
- Proud of the way the offense made big plays and kept responding.
- Defensively, those guys did an outstanding job in some of the situations we put them in.
- That’s life in this league and that’s the way it is.
- We have to build off of this and learn from our mistakes.
- I’m hurt for our guys, and this will sting for a little while.
- A lot of time between two plays, and I did not get an explanation from the officials on the last play of the game. I look forward to seeing the tape.
- We had a lot of freshmen playing tonight, and that’s not going to change.
- I know what this team needs. We’re close. We have to find a way to break down that wall.
- We wanted to try and establish the run. I still have confidence in winning the line of scrimmage on the offensive line.
