The Missouri Tigers had an outstanding second half of the 2017 season, rebounding from a 1-5 start to finish 7-5.

Now, Mizzou will take on former Big 12 rival Texas in the Texas Bowl on Dec. 27. However, even if the Tigers do win that game, bad news could follow, as star QB Drew Lock is currently weighing his options when it comes to declaring for the NFL Draft.

On Saturday, though, he said the outcome of the bowl game won’t affect his decision in any way, adding that he’s still looking at his options (via STLToday.com):

“Win or lose I’m going to look at (the decision) the same,” he said. “I’m still taking in information right now. I’m going to make the best decision for me, me and my family. In the end, whatever I decide I’ll just know it’ll be what I feel is best.”

Though it would be tough for Mizzou fans to see their star quarterback leave for the draft a year early, you can’t fault a football player for wanting to make as much money as he can playing a dangerous game.

However, if he returns for his senior year, the Tigers will be in a good position to do even better in 2018.
