Eli Drinkwitz is not exactly known for his play-calling.

The Mizzou head coach has led a bottom-tier offense in the SEC this season, and it seems he recognizes that. On Tuesday, Drinkwitz was asked if he would ever consider giving up play-calling.

He said he “was not opposed to that at all,” but that he would not consider it until after the season. He explained why shortly thereafter.

Accountability is always good. The Tigers are slightly starting to look up as of late, dancing with Georgia a few weeks ago and taking care of business against Vanderbilt this past weekend.

The Tigers have talent such as Luther Burden and Dominic Lovett. They just have to find ways to use those weapons.

We’ll see if Drinkwitz can pull the offense together this week as the Tigers take on No. 25 South Carolina in Columbia.
