Eliah Drinkwitz reveals how much time he'd need to get Mizzou ready for Week 1
Programs with new head coaches are especially at a disadvantage with the way the COVID-19 outbreak has brought the sporting world to a halt.
That applies at Mizzou, where new coach Eliah Drinkwitz is preparing for the 2020 season (if it ends up taking place).
However, with everyone in lockdown mode at the moment, Drinkwitz didn’t get to work with his players this spring. So, how long would it realistically take to get ready for the season? He said during a Zoom call on Wednesday that he could have the Tigers ready in a month:
On a Zoom call with reporters, new #Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz says if his team was told it couldn't report for camp until Aug. 5 and they had to play their first game Sept. 5 they would be ready.

He also added that he has been able to break down more film during the time off, which is giving him some new ideas:
Drinkwitz said one positive of not being able to coach players right now is he has been able to spend a lot more time watching film, both self-scouting and watching film of others to create some new ideas.

When will Drinkwitz and the Tigers be able to put those plans into action? We’ll find out over the next few weeks.
