Former Mizzou DL Sheldon Richardson moved up in the world prior to the start of the 2017 NFL season when he was traded by the New York Jets.

Now a member of the Seattle Seahawks, he’s on a team that has legitimate playoff aspirations, and so far, he’s fitting right in.

Alongside Michael Bennett and other talented defensive linemen, Richardson is already having an impact for the 1-1 Seahawks.

Defensive coordinator Kris Richard told The News Tribune that he has enjoyed working with Richardson:

“Yeah, he’s a difference maker,” Richard said. “Very disruptive at the line of scrimmage…

“It’s a different presence that we haven’t had here in the middle, and it’s absolutely going to pay dividends for us. I’m very happy that he’s here.”

Richardson has four tackles in two games with the Seahawks, but he’ll likely get more playing time as the season wears on and he becomes more familiar with the Seattle defense.

The Seahawks take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon. The game kicks off at 4:05 Eastern time and can be seen on FOX.
