Missouri has been on a nice run here in recent days on the recruiting trail and in the transfer market and that momentum continues to carry over as we inch closer to National Signing Day as the Tigers just picked up a new commitment.

The Mizzou defense picked up a pledge from Florida linebacker Johnny Walker of Chamberlain High School in Tampa on Monday. Walker becomes the fourth player in a week’s time to commit to Eli Drinkwitz’s Mizzou program. The Tigers now hold pledges from two linebackers in the 2020 class as Walker joins in-state prospect Will Norris as a commit.

Walker announced his commitment to the program on Monday with the following statement on Twitter, which included tagging of defensive line coach Brick Haley and Coach Drinkwitz.

“Extremely blessed & happy to say I am committed to The University of Missouri.”

The 6-foot-3, 204-pound Walker is rated as a three-star prospect, the nation’s No. 63 outside linebacker and the No. 133 overall recruit from Florida by 247Sports Composite Rankings.
