Missouri looks to continue its tradition of churning out elite defensive linemen Sunday night by landing the commitment of Blue Springs, Mo., defensive line prospect Daniel Parker. Parker is a 2018 prospect and will be entering his junior season of high school football this fall.

Parker announced his decision via Twitter Sunday evening:

While the 6-foot-3, 270-pound Parker has yet to be ranked by 247Sports recruiting services, he does hold offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska and Missouri State.

Upon making his decision public, Parker broke down his commitment with Gabe DeArmond of Power Mizzou.

“It was in my mind,” Parker said. “I wanted to get out there Saturday night and see how it would be, how the coaches and players would bring me in. I like the atmosphere, I loved the feeling of being on the Mizzou field. The players that were there made me feel like I was one of them.”

Parker is the first player to commit to the Tigers 2018 recruiting class.
