It may be Friday night, but the Missouri Tigers just landed perhaps their top recruit for the 2019 class. 4-star safety Jalani Williams announced on KSDK News he plans to commit to Missouri.

According to Brendan Lavell of Missourian Sports, Williams will arrive at Missouri as the highest-rated in-state commitment since Drew Lock in 2015.

Shortly after his announcement, Williams released this video on his Twitter account:

Williams is one of two 4-star recruits, (Williams is the higher rated of the two) who have committed to Missouri in the 2019 class. Standing at 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, Williams reportedly received 25 offers, including from seven SEC schools and other top programs around the country, including Notre Dame, Clemson and Oklahoma.

Even after this great news, though, Missouri still has a lot of work to do in its 2019 class. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, the Tigers’ upcoming class ranks 13th out of 14 in the SEC.
