Another day, another name in the transfer portal.

Safety Jalani Williams won’t return to Missouri in 2023, it appears. Williams posted to Twitter, thanking Columbia for his time at the program.

“First, I would like to give glory to the most high for giving me life and opportunity,” Williams tweeted. “Thank you to the University of Missouri for being the first school to take a chance on me. I learned so much about myself, gained amazing relationships I hope to carry throughout the rest of my life and will forever cherish the memories. With that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal as a graduate to find my new home. Thank you, Mizzou.”

Williams will have 2 years of eligibility remaining following the 2022 season. This past year, he played in 12 games, recording 11 total tackles and an interception.

Several other Tigers have entered the portal following a 6-6 finish under Eli Drinkwitz. Redshirt freshman linebacker Zach Lovett is expected to leave, as is receiver Dominic Lovett. Dominic Lovett, Missouri’s top target, finished 3rd among SEC receivers in yards (846), 6th in catches (56) and 25th in touchdowns.

The Tigers are currently awaiting their bowl assignment after defeating Arkansas in the season finale last Friday.
