Another Mizzou lineman is entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Less than 24 hours after senior tackle Bobby Lawrence announced his departure, Luke Griffin has announced his plans to continue his career elsewhere.

Griffin thanked the University of Missouri for the opportunity to be a Tiger, mentioning former coaches Barry Odom, Brad Davis and Marcus Johnson. Eli Drinkwitz named Brandon Jones the team’s new offensive line coach on Monday.

Griffin began his MU career in 2019. After redshirting his first season, Griffin played in 9 games of the 2020 campaign, making a start at left guard against South Carolina.

In 2021, Griffin played in all 13 games, starting the last 6 games. This past season, Griffin logged 11 appearances, but just 1 start against Abilene Christian.

Griffin has 2 seasons of eligibility remaining. The NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for the impacted 2020 season allows him to be a 6th-year senior in 2024.
