Mizzou F Ronnie DeGray III has decided that after 2 seasons with the Tigers he will look to play elsewhere.

The 3rd-year forward announced Thursday that he is entering the NCAA transfer portal. He thanked former head coach Cuonzo Martin and ex-assistant Cornell Mann for bringing him to Columbia.

“Thank you for welcoming a kid from Parker, Colorado with open arms for the last two years,” DeGray wrote in a tweeted note. “I got to live out one of my dreams of playing at the highest level and to top it off, be a part of March Madness. I want to thank Coach Martin and coach Corn for recruiting me to Mizzou and all the other coaches who had a part in coaching me during my time here.”

DeGray joined Mizzou for the 2021-22 season after beginning his college basketball career at UMass. In his first season, he made 33 appearances (4 starts), averaging 8.3 points per game over 25.4 minutes. In 2022-23, DeGray was limited to just 17 games (8 starts) due to injury. He averaged 2.1 points over 9.9 minutes per game.

MU coach Dennis Gates thanked DeGray for his contributions and offered his assistance with a transfer.

DeGray has 2 remaining seasons of eligibility.
