Former Oklahoma RB Alex Ross is a graduate transfer eligible to be a contributor for any team willing to have him this fall.

That should make the report that he was in Columbia to visit Missouri over the weekend very intriguing to Tigers fans.

Ross has been a key contributor to a Sooners program which made the College Football Playoff semifinals last season.

During his three years at Oklahoma, Ross played in 28 games, accumulating 786 rushing yards and 1,363 yards on 53 kickoff returns.

The Tigers are looking for help for a rushing offense that ranked 120th out of 128 FBS teams in 2015 with just 115.4 yards per contest.

Mizzou graduated its best RB in Russell Hansbrough, who limped his way through an injury plagued senior season after starring as a 1,000-yard rusher in 2014.

Ross should have one year of eligibility remaining at whichever school he chooses, meaning immediate playing time should move pretty high up his list of priorities.
