Missouri has lost its quarterbacks coach to Boise State. Bush Hamdan, a former Broncos quarterback, has been named the team’s new offensive coordinator, the program announced on Wednesday.

Hamdan came to Mizzou in 2020 as the Tigers’ wide receivers and quarterbacks coach, switching over to just coaching QBs in 2022. Prior to that, he was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Washington, his 2nd stint in Seattle. He was also the Atlanta Falcons’ quarterbacks coach during the 2017 season.

A member of the Broncos from 2004-2008, his coaching career began at Colorado in 2009 as a student assistant. He then moved to Maryland as an offensive quality control coach before coaching tight ends at Sacramento State. His 1st spell in the SEC came as Florida’s wide receivers coach in 2012 before serving as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Arkansas State in 2013 under Bryan Harsin, his head coach at Boise State.

Hamdan replaces Tim Plough, who was fired as the Broncos’ OC 4 games into the 2022 season. Dirk Koetter led the offense on an interim basis for the remainder of the year. The Broncos were 9-4, 8-0 in the Mountain West, falling to Fresno State in the conference championship game.
