The next stop of the journeyman NFL career of Blaine Gabbert will be Nashville as the Titans announced the signing of the former Mizzou quarterback Tuesday morning. Terms of the deal have yet to be revealed.

During his seven-year NFL career, Gabbert has played for Jacksonville, San Francisco, and Arizona before agreeing to terms with Tennessee. While he’s no threat to win the starting quarterback job over Marcus Mariota, Gabbert could prove to be a valuable backup should the Titans’ star miss any action.

In his total NFL career, Gabbert has thrown for 8,437 yards, 44 touchdowns, and 43 interceptions. He’s made 45 starts in his career, as well. All things considered, he will be one of the most experienced backup QBs in the NFL next season — which should bring value to the Titans locker room. In fact, Gabbert has started more games in the NFL than Mariota (42) at this point in their careers.

Gabbert was the 10th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft following two big seasons starting for Missouri. During those two campaigns, Gabbert passed for just under 6,800 yards, 40 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
