It has been five years since Missouri officially joined the SEC alongside Texas A&M.

To celebrate the Tigers’ success in their new conference, the Missouri athletic department’s official Twitter account posted a video on Twitter.

On the gridiron, Mizzou saw its biggest success in the SEC during the 2013 and ’14 seasons when the Tigers won the SEC East, resulting in two trips to the SEC Championship Game under former coach Gary Pinkel. In four seasons in the SEC (2012-15), Pinkel went 118-73 overall and 64-57 in conference play. As seen in the video, Pinkel’s squad won the 2014 Cotton Bowl 41-31 over former Big 12 foe Oklahoma State.

Last season, Barry Odom was 4-8 and 2-6 in conference play in his first season as Mizzou head coach. The Tigers’ season ended on a high note with a 28-24 victory over Arkansas in the Battle Line Rivalry, a new rivalry created when the Hogs became MU’s permanent SEC West rival.
