Barry Odom and Mizzou’s football team kicked off its 2018 fall camp Saturday.

The Tigers have arguably the top QB in college football in Drew Lock, but Mizzou must make big jumps on defense if it wants to contend for a division title.

Odom was quick to point out the leadership he heard on the field Saturday.

“You look at the returning starters and some of the leadership and some of the messages you could hear from them today saying amongst themselves, ‘We’re in the right spot right now. We’ve got a long way to go, but collectively, there was a group that was eager to work together.

“We looked like we’re faster, stronger and quicker and all those things that you want to see and even more assignment-sound that we’ve been in the previous start to things.”
