Missouri defensive line coach Brick Haley now has a full season under his belt in Columbia, and the personality of his squad is already evident.

He wants his linemen to be aggressive, to be physical and to play fast.

This year, Missouri’s defensive line is one of the most experienced parts of their defense.

“We have a good mixture of older guys and younger guys,” said Haley. “The first couple of days, I’ve been pleased with the movement and the things that they have done.”

There are four sophomores four seniors on the Mizzou defensive line, and three of those seniors anchor the middle.

“I really like our depth inside, I think we have enough big bodies in there that can give us some quality minutes,” said Haley. “Those guys have been here awhile, we don’t have any young guys in that group so all those guys are veterans and they have performed like that over this period of camp.”

As far as defensive end, Haley has said that sophomore Chris Turner has turned some heads so far in fall camp.

“I think Chris Turner has done a great job in the summer, you can tell he’s in great shape he’s come in here and bust his tail and his doing a good job.”
