Chad Morris on Razorbacks run to the championship in Omaha: Arkansas fans deserve this
Chad Morris is soaking in every moment of glory the Arkansas baseball program is experiencing at the moment as the team is set to compete for the National Championship this week in Omaha.
While he’s still somewhat new to the state, Morris can easily sense just how bad the state wants this title. According to the Razorback coach, not only do the fans want it but they deserve it. During a Monday appearance on Sports Talk with Bo, hosted by Bo Mattingly, Morris shared his thoughts on the incredible run that Arkansas’ baseball program is currently on and what it means to share a small part in that success.
“I’ve been saying this as I’ve traveled around our great state and just heard the passion level of all the Hog fans — and I’ve said it from the get-go — this state is so deserving of this,” Morris said on the show. “They have been through so much to get to this point. This University is so deserving. This fan base is so deserving. When you are able to be on the big stage that Coach Van Horn and our baseball program is on right now and to see the excitement level and to see the passion for Razorbacks, just to be a part, it really raises the hair on your arm when you think about it like that; what this program is capable of doing — in all sports.”
The Arkansas coach shared this image from the stands in Omaha on Monday:
