Dwayne Haskins offers praise to Tua Tagovailoa: He ‘was like a god’

Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins had a great year and is being rewarded with a trip to New York on Saturday for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
However, he’ll be joined by Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray and Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, so many think he’ll finish third behind those two stars.
Haskins, to his credit, had nothing but nice things to say about his competitors. He said he’s just happy to be in the same conversation as Tagovailoa (via AL.com):
โIt would mean the world,โ Haskins said. โQuarterbacks, we all are the alpha males, and we all compete against each other at all the camps, and we all know about one another. To be able to — Kyler coming out of high school was the best quarterback in the country. Tua was like a God. And to be able to be in the same conversation with them makes me feel like I put the work in to be considered the best quarterback in the country. I have much respect for those guys.โ
It’s an honor just to be nominated for the Heisman, so Haskins will have a great time at the ceremony.
Even though he’ll likely finish third, it was still a great year for him at Ohio State.
