The next Associated Press Top 25 Poll comes out Sunday afternoon, and it will not include Big Ten or Pac-12 teams. That means many SEC programs will be ranked in the top 25 and higher than normal.
Before we get to the AP Poll, however, ESPN has updated its Football Power Index Top 25 to reflect Saturday’s results. Some Big 12 and ACC teams have already played, while the SEC won’t start until September 26.
No. 1 Clemson hammered Wake Forest Saturday 37-13, and Texas trashed UTEP 59-3. Oklahoma also embarrassed Missouri State 48-0.
