Florida AD Scott Stricklin releases statement on charges against suspended Gators

It hasn’t been a good day for the Florida athletic department, as nine suspended football players face a total of 62 felony charges stemming from a credit-card fraud case.
As the Gators deal with the serious allegations, it’s likely that every suspended player has played his last snap for the team.
On Monday afternoon, Florida AD Scott Stricklin released a statement on the allegations, saying it’s something he and coach Jim McElwain take very seriously.
He added that all players involved would be suspended indefinitely:

The accused players haven’t appeared in any games for the Gators this season, so it’s unlikely the school will face any repercussions from the NCAA.
However, with 62 serious charges pending against them, the players have a lot more to worry about than NCAA violations at the moment.
