While many were focused on the increasingly nasty rivalry between Florida and LSU during SEC Media Days on Tuesday, Gators DB Marcell Harris had a word of warning for Texas A&M as well.

The redshirt senior made a strong statement about coming to The Swamp, as the Aggies get ready to make a trip to Gainesville on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Harris told Chron.com that Texas A&M doesn’t know what’s coming when it takes on the Gators on their home turf:

“If they don’t know, if you’re not a Gator, you don’t make it out alive,” a smiling Harris said of the slogan associated with “The Swamp.”

Harris, who led the Gators with 73 tackles in 2016, will have to back up his statement this year, but Florida has been great at defending its home stadium under coach Jim McElwain.

In his three years at the helm, the Gators have never lost a conference home game. In fact, they’ve only lost in The Swamp once since McElwain took over — a 2015 contest against Florida State.
