Jace Sternberger has had a busy season.
The former Texas A&M tight end was waived by the Green Bay Packers in September, then landed on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad, and now Sternberger has been signed to the Washington Football Team, his agent said, according to Pro Football Talk.
Sternberger was a 2019 third-round pick of the Packers and missed the first 2 games of the season while on the suspended list. As a rookie, Sternberger had 3 catches for 15 yards and a touchdown that season. He then made 12 catches for 114 yards and a TD in 2020. He appeared in 6 games with one start in the 2019 season.
Sternberger started the 2021 season with an NFL suspension for a violation of the league’s substance policy.
