Jalen Milroe sent a little scare through the Alabama fan base as he took a shot to his left thigh on the Crimson Tide’s opening series against Kentucky in Lexington.
With the Tide facing 2nd-and-6 from their own 35, Milroe kept it himself and took off for a 16-yard gain. At the end of the play, though, a Kentucky defender made heavy contact with his upper thigh. Milroe briefly got up but went down again as he could not put weight on his left leg and was eventually tended to by trainers before leaving the field under his own power.

Ty Simpson checked in to the game in relief of Milroe, but Milroe returned just 1 play later. He later capped the Tide’s opening drive with a touchdown pass to Amari Niblack as Alabama opened up a 7-0 lead.
The Crimson Tide can clinch the SEC West with a win over the Wildcats or an Ole Miss loss to Georgia. Alabama-Kentucky is on ESPN.
